Happy Monday! Another great 5 Star review.

This was a new rebrand project for The University of Oxford's Computer Science Professional Masters Programme. The project involved a new logo (evolved from the Department logo is did last year), and a comprehensive set of brand guidelines.

ON THIS DAY IN 2003... Absolute Graphics began! It's been a fantastic journey, with so many highs (and only a couple of lows!) I've been lucky enough to work with so many amazing customers. I feel very grateful to still be here 21 years later and still producing great graphic design work for great people. Long may it continue! 🥂

Sometimes evolution works better than revolution.

Towards the end of last year I was contacted by the Computer Science Department at THE University of Oxford. They were looking for a departmental brand refresh that could evolve the current identity but keep it within the University's guidelines which are quite specific with regards to sub branding.

After research and comparisons with other departments, I supplied a variety of options that would keep recognition clear and not dilute their strong identity. We settled on a logo that although similar to the original version they had, is typographically updated and dynamic. I also introduced some new supporting graphics that can be used within communications. With me now working on new Brand Guidelines this week, this is a high profile job I'm immensely proud to have had the opportunity to produce.

From the University..."Graham from Absolute Graphics has been a pleasure to work with over the last few months (yes this has taken months!) and, my team and I are delighted with the results. Now to roll out the “new” branding...."

back to 2016 and a bit of self promotion for a business trade show. Thinking outside the box and putting the Mini on my trade stand generated a lot of interest at the event and it got me in the local paper...

This week is a milestone. I have been in business 20 years this week! It started as a stop-gap between jobs, on a neighbours secondhand desk, with a second hand G4 Mac, in a spare bedroom of my little bachelor flat in Central Southampton. Now, many thousands of jobs in, and roughly over 60,000 pieces of artwork created; I'm in my 5th home office, with numerous regular clients, a wife, 2 teenage boys and a dog. In the words of the Fatboy Slim song, "we've come a long long way together, through the hard times and the good..." thankfully many more good times than hard!!!

The first job (AG001) on that first day was a hotel guide for Allied Irish Bank (AIB), and the most recent (AG3557) is a 24 page magazine for a high-end audio brand.

I'd like to thank all the clients past and present for helping Absolute Graphics reach this fantastic milestone...
