At LOVELIVE, around this time of year, we usually send out a reminder about cervical screenings because - say it with us - prevention and early detection save lives.

This year though, we have a great reason to celebrate instead!

New research shows that the HPV vaccine has reduced the risk of dying from cervical cancer before the age of 30 to effectively zero in vaccinated young women in England.

Interestingly, the HPV vaccine is now routinely offered to boys as well, helping protect against a range of cancers, as well as reducing the spread of HPV.

So today, we're taking a moment to celebrate what can be achieved through research, vaccination, screening, and collective action!

Did someone say CAKE?

On this month’s all in office day, the LOVELIVE team swapped design tools for whisks and flour as we ‘ready, set, BAKE’ in aid of our chosen charity for this year, The Christie Charity.

During the lunchtime event as well as sampling each other’s creations, we’ve managed to raise a fantastic £88!

However, we’re not stopping there! Throughout the rest of the year, individuals will also be partaking in various Christie Charity run events taking place to raise money for a wide range of projects and initiatives within the hospitals.

Well, that's a wrap on another World Cup, and what a tournament it's been!

We're (begrudgingly) delighted to announce that Isaac Smith is this year's LOVELIVE World Cup Sweepstake Champion! ⚽️🏆🎉

If we're being honest, most of us were quietly hoping Karolina and England would go all the way, but it wasn't to be - we're keeping our fingers crossed for our women's team next year!

Congratulations, Isaac... we have to admit that drawing Spain out of the hat was an excellent football strategy.

Thanks to everyone who took part, especially sweepstake organiser, Louie Orr, who helped make it so much fun. Until the next tournament!

World Cup fever has the whole LOVELIVE team gripped!

Daily conversations about VAR, hydration breaks, overturned red-cards and late-night celebrations have led to some friendly banter over the past 3 weeks.

However, the current topic in HQ and on Teams is who is down to the final 8 battling it out for LOVELIVE sweepstake success? Our chart, courtesy of Spiral Print, has been completed after each match and with each elimination someone moves closer to glory.

Sad times for those who were out at the start, but the show’s not over until the final whistle on Sunday 19th July, though we’ll be secretly hoping Karolina comes out on top!

At LOVELIVE, creativity in all its forms is at the heart of what we do, so we’re delighted to once again sponsor Macc-Pow as it returns for its 11th year.

The weekend of exhibitions, activities and workshops brings together the world of comic book art and allows you to get up-close and personal with legendary pros from the past 40 years of comics, and the bright stars of the future, celebrating this wonderful world with a diverse mix of amazing creators.
