Anyone like Zelda? We have to hand it to Graham, one of our wonderful customers, this display looks AMAZING 🤩, Skywards joycon display stand from sits pride of place. We had a slight hiccup with the stand having a misprint on one piece, but our service team were able to sort that out, and Graham was delighted with the help provided, which is always great to hear. Modders Confession time, how many of you have been in this situation with an IPS ribbon? It has to be said that lifting the solder & damaging it is something many have learned the hard way, these ribbons are not cheap. We have seen our share of broken touch solder pads and even power pads, fortunately once ones soldering skills improve there are some more tricky but possible ways around these problems. On the GBC 2.0 ribbon you can solder the touch pad to a pin on the IC shown in the pics, swipe to view. The best way to try and avoid this situation is to use a variable temp soldering iron and half decent solder, practicing soldering on junk for newbies is also a must.
