Politics can feel bleak; until moments like this remind us that new energy is entering the conversation.

Jack Schlossberg's run for Congress signals something powerful: the next generation isn't discouraged by our political system. They're ready to fix it.

From climate action to economic justice to digital-era policy, young leaders bring lived experiences older lawmakers often miss.

Just like Mamdani's grassroots win, this moment shows how NYC continues to be a place where fresh voices break through.

Hope isn't naive when it's backed by action; and this is what action looks like.

The plot twist we didn't see coming...

NYC mayoral-elect Zohran Mamdani met Donald Trump at the White House to tackle sky-high utility bills.

Despite their political differences, they found common ground on a real challenge, proving that cooperation is possible when it matters most.

She touched the stars, but never chose the journey.

Brave little Félicette's mission made history and her fate reminds us why policy, oversight, and ethics are essential.

Without rules to protect the vulnerable, lives can be treated as expendable, even in the name of progress.

🎃 Happy Halloween! 👻

For our final post for Halloween week, we wanted to leave you with something extra special: a look at Final Girls- The survivors of horror films who have captured our imaginations for decades. But beyond their iconic status on-screen, these characters also reveal something deeper about how society decides who is believed, protected, and supported.

From classic survivors like Sally and Sidney to subversive heroes like Adelaide, Maxine, and Grace, each Final Girl challenges our expectations and reminds us that survival comes in many forms. Just like in policy, where credibility and protection shouldn’t hinge on perfection, horror shows us that strength, ingenuity, and agency matter; even when they don’t fit the traditional mold.

Thank you for joining us on this Halloween week countdown, exploring stories that reveal how policies shape survival, safety, fairness, and justice in all areas of life. ⚖️💀

🎃 Halloween Countdown: 1 Day to Go! 🧠

Jordan Peele’s Get Out isn’t just scary because of hypnosis; the real horror is the system that makes it possible. While Chris’s experience is fictional, the film shines a light on real-world issues like medical ethics, informed consent, and civil rights protections.

Polite facades can mask subtle forms of control and exploitation, but policies exist to keep people safe and uphold their rights. Horror on screen is terrifying; but policy is what keeps it from happening in real life.

Follow PolicyCon for more law-meets-horror breakdowns this Halloween week. ⚖️💀
