My mum struggles with dementia.

She often forgets conversations from the night before or even the same day.

Often forgets that I’m picking her up for a doctor’s appointment.

Or that I’m not visiting until the afternoon when I have a morning meeting.

It all gets very frustrating for an independent woman like her.

As an app developer, I knew there was something I could do. This is where Helping Mum was born.

Helping mum is an app that helps us communicate better. A simple system I can use to send her reminders and messages of conversations we’ve had so that she doesn’t get confused.

Here are some simple tips to improve your dark mode UI:
1. Never use pure white
2. Avoid Saturated colours
3. Contrast and accessibility are key
4. Text opacity is so important.

We get asked a lot by clients, what's the difference between UX & UI?

This picture sums it up perfectly in our opinion. Simply put, UX is a wireframe, a layout, and a tool to better understand the user journey. The Skeleton.

Whereas, UI is the meat on the bones. It is YOUR brand and design added to the UX and the app. It is what makes the app look amazing.
