About This Project
Lunar on the Wedgwood Estate in Staffordshire is a Michelin Star restaurant opened in December 2021. Aqord were contacted by the client and tasked to design, supply and install a high-quality music system capable of Background and Foreground levels.
At the Lunar restaurant, Aqord advised the client to install a 4-zone system – main dining, private dining, additional dining room and the toilets. There was also a need for the capability of live DJ performances and a microphone for events and announcements.
The client wanted the speakers to compliment the industrial style open ceiling area in the main restaurant area. To this end we used Bose DM5P pendant speakers to match the stylistic needs. Bose DM10P Subs were also used for the low end and to cater for the live music aspects for when the system was being used for foreground music. For the private dining area, a pair of Bose DM5SE cabinet speakers were placed in two of the corners of the room to give a balanced and distributed sound. In the additional dining room, we again installed DM5SE loudspeakers to ensure the aesthetics across the restaurant were matched. Even the toilets featured Bose DM3SE speakers, of course only needed to provide low level background music but equally to ensure the quality is consistent for the customer.
A fantastic project to be involved in and given a huge seal of approval from the client.
