We are Come Through Lab, an independent photographic lab based in Ancoats, Manchester. Born out of a desire to provide a much needed service to Manchester's artists, photographers and creatives. We combine the experience and expertise of a pro lab with the speed and ease of a mini lab; maintaining the professionalism and highest quality service but in an accessible, affordable and inclusive way.

Competition Shortlist 🏆

We are very excited to announce the 5 individuals who have been shortlisted for our Moments of… Reflection exhibition. The exhibition launches with an opening party on Thursday 28th May 6pm til late, the overall winner will be announced at the event that evening.

We received a total of 144 submissions which we were completely blown away by, all of the submissions we received will be printed 6x4” and displayed on the tables at during the exhibition opening as well as being included in the projected slideshow - this will be for one night only so be sure not to miss it!

The selected 5 artists work will be on show for 1 month at the track taproom

This years responses have been incredible, with so many strong entries that responded both literally and conceptually to the brief, there was so much creativity on show and we got a beautiful sense of what makes us reflect on the wider world around us. We truly cannot wait to see you all on Thursday.

Come Through Lab x Track Brewery

Thursday 28th May at Track Taproom 6pm till late

Join us for the competition winner announcement and the exhibition of the 5 shortlisted photographers, there will also be a slideshow of all submitted work, 6x4” prints made from all of the submissions we received, music and of course beautiful beers. This will be a fantastic event and a great opportunity to socialise, meet like minded artists and enjoy all things photography.

This is gearing up to be a fantastic event and certainly one not to miss.

Photographic Competition & Exhibition Open Call 📣

‘Moments of... Reflection’

We are very excited to announce that we are working with on our second photographic competition and exhibition, responding to the theme of ‘Moments of… Reflection’. We will be exhibiting 5 photographic works from 5 photographers, which will be printed, mounted and framed in house by Come Through Lab.

Images will be judged on their strength in response to the theme, we want to see a broad interpretation on the theme of Reflection, this can be a conceptual or literal interpretation. We all take time to reflect, either on ourselves or the wider world around us, on our practice, as well as on the subjects we decide to photograph and the subjects we decide to document. We would love to see a deep and meaningful portrayal of the theme, exploring the things that we reflect on as a wider community or personal moments of quiet reflection.

Competition entries will be shortlisted by Come Through Lab then judged by an incredible panel consisting of:

Marcus Wheeler
Sam Eckersley
Hana Latif
Shane Taylor
And the CTL team

Submissions are now open via the link in bio until 23:59 Friday 15th May.

The 5 selected works will be exhibited at the Moments of... Reflection Exhibition at the Track Taproom. The overall winner will be announced at the Exhibition opening evening at the Track Taproom, Thursday 28th May.

All submitted works will be presented in a projected slideshow at the exhibition and printed 6’’x4’’ for display on the tables at the Taproom on the night of the opening event. We encourage photographers to find their prints, talk about and discuss their work, and even swap prints if they are comfortable doing so. We hope this will showcase a great overview of all the submitted work.

This definitely won’t be one to miss and we cannot wait to see everyone’s submissions.

If you can’t handle me at my V30, you don’t deserve me at my V50 🌹

We have always had a commitment to investing back into the lab so that we can maintain and uphold our turnarounds, whilst still maintain the highest standards, so welcome our new V50 which should help us essentially double our current daily processing capacity and get us feeling summer ready!
