🚀 Fresh Finds: Toy Story 5 🧸✨

Some stories stay with us for a reason… and Toy Story is back for another adventure.

This time, the toys are facing a very modern challenge: technology changing the way we connect, play, and spend our time. With screens, social media, and digital distractions becoming a bigger part of everyday life, the film explores a question we’re all thinking about, how do we make sure technology supports us, rather than replaces the things that matter?

Beyond the nostalgia, it’s a fun reminder that the best experiences (digital or otherwise) come from balance, connection, and understanding the people using them.

A pretty fitting watch for anyone who spends their days thinking about how technology shapes the world around us 👀💻

Great UX doesn’t happen by adding more.

It comes from knowing what matters, removing distractions and creating a clear path for users.

We explore how confident design decisions make digital experiences easier, clearer and more effective 👇

A cyberattack isn’t just a technology problem, it can quickly become a people, reputation, and business problem too. 💻⚠️

For many smaller businesses, recovering from a serious security incident means dealing with downtime, lost revenue, damaged customer trust, and a lot of unexpected stress.

The good news? Cyber security doesn’t have to be complicated. Regular updates, strong passwords, staff awareness, backups, and a proactive approach can go a long way.

Sometimes the most important business investment is protecting what you've already built. 🔒✨

✨ Great user experiences aren't always about reducing clicks, they're about reducing confusion.

When every step feels obvious, every action has a clear purpose, and users never have to stop and wonder "what happens next?", navigating a website becomes effortless. That's the sweet spot. Less thinking, less friction, and more momentum.

The best digital experiences don't make users work harder. They quietly guide them in the right direction. 🚀

With the World Cup getting underway today, there’s always a lot of attention on the players, the managers, and the moments that end up all over social media. But it's easy to forget just how much work happens behind the scenes before any of that starts ⚽️🏟️

Months. Sometimes years. Planning, preparation, testing, refining. Everyone involved is trying to remove as many problems as possible before the first whistle blows.

And honestly, that’s not too different from building a great website.

When a website feels easy to use, loads quickly, and helps people find exactly what they need, nobody really notices. They just get on with it. But underneath that experience is usually a huge amount of thought, design decisions, development work, content planning, testing, and ongoing improvements.

The funny thing is, the best experiences often go unnoticed.

Nobody watches a football match and talks about how well the stadium signage worked, how smoothly the ticketing system handled demand, or how quickly the app loaded. People only notice those things when they don't work.

Websites are much the same.

Success often looks boring from the outside. Things just work. And that's usually a sign that a lot of people have done their jobs very well.

While everyone else is discussing predictions and scores, there's something quite impressive about the amount of design, technology, and planning quietly holding the whole thing together 💭

Does custom development have to be harder to maintain?

Not necessarily.

When custom platforms are built with scalability, clarity and long-term flexibility in mind, they can be incredibly stable and adaptable.

Not every shortcut is actually a shortcut 👀

Plugins can be incredibly useful but adding one every time a new requirement pops up can quickly turn a simple website into a complicated one. Before long, updates become risky, performance starts to suffer, and maintaining the site takes more time than expected.

The best websites aren't built with the most plugins, they're built with the right ones. Thoughtful decisions today can save a lot of headaches tomorrow. 💡

Sometimes the quickest solution isn't the smartest long-term solution. 🚀

Caching is designed to make websites faster by storing versions of pages so they don’t need to reload everything from scratch every time. Most of the time, it works quietly in the background and improves performance without anyone noticing.

The issue starts when cached versions don’t update properly. Changes get made to a site, new content, fixes, design updates, but users still see the old version. From the outside, it can look like things are broken, even when the updates are actually in place.

Because caching can exist at multiple levels (browser, server, CDN), different users can sometimes see different versions of the same website. This creates inconsistency that can be confusing to spot and even harder to diagnose.

What should be improving performance can end up causing confusion, outdated content, and missed updates. It’s not caching itself that’s the problem, but how it’s managed.

When handled properly, caching is powerful. But it needs control, clear rules, and regular attention because speed only helps if what users see is actually correct.
