⚠️ Scam Alert: SMS Blaster Text Scams

Imagine sitting at home and a text arrives that looks real. It could be your bank, a delivery company, even HMRC. You think nothing of it. You click the link. In that second, your phone connects to a device that was never meant to contact you.

Scammers are now using new technology called SMS Blasters. They mimic real mobile towers, sending fake texts to thousands of phones at once. You do not need to be on a list. You just have to be nearby.

The moment you open one of those messages, your phone starts sharing information you never agreed to give.

This is not about fear. It is about awareness. These scams work because they look ordinary. They feel safe.

Do not click the link. Do not reply. Delete the message.

ScamTec exists to help people see the danger before it reaches them.
Awareness. Prevention.

Professional fraud detection and protection services designed to keep you safe from online scams and fraudulent activities.

Has this happened to you — or someone you know?
I was expecting a call from my doctor.
Withheld number. Seemed normal.

But it wasn’t him.
It was someone claiming to be my bank.

Polite. English. Professional.

“Unusual activity on your account,” he said.
Then he read out the last 4 digits of my card.
That’s when I started listening.

“Did you try to pay a hotel bill in Paris for €498?”
I said no.
He said they’d block it and send me a new card.
But first, I needed to confirm the code they’d just sent me.

So I did.

Later that day, I tried to make a payment.
Card declined.

Then came the message:
👉 “Please visit your branch — face to face.”

I went in.
And they hit me with it:

“You’ve been scammed.”

He’d registered a new phone to my account using that code.
He even called the bank pretending to be me —
trying to remove the block so he could clear my account.

He nearly got everything.

That was the moment I created ScamTec.com
Not for revenge.
For awareness.

Because I don’t want anyone else to learn this lesson the way I did.

Stop scams before they start.
