Our annual charity raffle raises money to support local and national charities close to our people’s hearts. One donation particularly close to our teams was to CRY—Cardiac Risk in the Young. In memory of an incredible individual who worked at Linney, our people wanted to use this opportunity to donate to the charity and raise awareness of the cause and their screening programme.

The proceeds from this year’s charity raffle helped the 138 Sqn Air Cadets continue to offer a fantastic range of confidence-building activities to the young people they work with. From the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to camps and practical training to invaluable personal and professional, the 138 Sqn Air Cadets are a valuable community resource for young people.

They rely heavily on fundraising and donations. Our contribution goes towards purchasing a flight simulator and laptops, plus subsidising its spring and summer camps.

How we are supporting our local community - Myeloma UK.

Each year in the UK, approximately 5,900 people are diagnosed with myeloma - a blood cancer arising from plasma cells. Myeloma mainly affects those over the age of 65 but has been diagnosed in people much younger.

Part of our charity raffle proceeds were dedicated towards this cause.

Myeloma UK's mission is held very close to us here at Linney. Two and a half years ago, Ruth found out that her mum was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

“My mum received Chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, which allows her to have the best possible chance of keeping the cancer at bay for longer. My mum is now in remission and doing well.”

This year, proceeds from our charity raffle supported Walking 4 Hope, a Mansfield-based charity dedicated to helping families and young people through community, conversation, and connection.

The charity was founded by John Bell, known to many as “DadPool”. After losing his son in 2020, John created Walking 4 Hope to provide those who struggle with their mental health a safe and supportive space to share their struggles and find hope.

John’s fundraising efforts have been as impactful as they are creative. From walking from Mansfield to Wrexham dressed as Deadpool to carrying a bathtub strapped to his back, John has made it his mission to raise awareness and help those who need it.

Walking 4 Hope has already touched countless lives, and we’re proud that the proceeds from our raffle will help John and his team continue this vital work.

Planting for the future 🌱

To continue working towards our pledge of 25,000 trees by the end of 2025, we spent a day planting an impressive 700 trees in partnership with the Sherwood Forest Trust.

As a business, we are proud to give back to the local community and environment where we can. Planting trees is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact the local environment, support biodiversity and create spaces for wildlife and community to thrive.

As part of the proceeds from this year’s charity raffle, Mansfield Cats Protection was one of the many amazing charities our team nominated.

They do a brilliant job caring for the cats and kittens of Mansfield. Last year, this incredible organisation re-homed 410 cats and kittens. We are delighted to support this great local cause and hope the donation will cover the charity's ongoing vet bills and food costs.

Congratulations to our Performance and Social team, who brought home a Northern Digital Awards last night!

The team was delighted to win in the Best Collaboration With A Content Creator category for their work with West Cornwall Pasty Co (part of Samworth Brothers. With work for the campaign running over 12 months and eight posts delivered with the content creator, it's a great example of perfectly matching content creators to the brand. Well done to everyone involved.

This year members of our animation team joined in with the community to flex their technical and creative muscles in this years Kinetic Rush challenge.

The challenge—to create a unique 3D render from the provided template—saw our animators get their creative juices flowing and expand their skill sets and animation experience at the same time.

With a chance to collaborate with over 3,000 creators around the globe, our team’s animations showcase the diversity of styles and animation techniques showcased in the competition.

Although the team didn’t make the prized 100 shortlist, they said they were “all proud of the high-quality work they created and that they’re looking forward to their next challenge”.

Thanks to everyone who supported our Christmas raffle. This year, we raised over £8,000, which will make a real difference to local communities.

Last year, with the money raised, we supported over ten local charities and community groups, giving something back to the causes that make our community so special.

As the nights turn colder and Christmas draws near, our talented teams behind the scenes have created magic for all to see.

We’ve turned our reception area into a bustling Christmas marketplace. Settle into the warmth and twinkly lights and browse Christmas delights. From Christmas crafts to spruce up your tree, hand made by people across the business, to a festive treat and even some honey from our on-site bees, there’s something for everyone!
