This was an interesting project we produced for The Linking Network just before the schools broke up for the Summer holidays.

27,000 double sided A4 leaflets for the new school year.

1,000 of these were folded into a 16 page booklet, to be handed out to teachers, to show the children how to fold them.

We also produced 26,000 laminated stickers and a 1,000 gloss laminated folders.

Our new customer Dave Coombes, runs a modelling shop and makes these wonderful flags and feather banners – with a little help from us of course.

I specialise in 1/32 scale (farm and Scalextric) models and accessories for for your layouts or dioramas anything from sheds and telegraph poles to buildings and fully detailed race tracks.

This week we’ve had the pleasure of 17 year old Henry (from Prince Henry’s Grammar School) join us for five days of work experience.

Henry has been learning what it takes to run a small, independent printers and has spent the last few days in the finishing department working on brochures and orders of service.

Today we took him down Bleach Mill Lane and gave him a photography lesson in how to shoot using his camera's manual mode and getting his head around the exposure triangle.

On our walk we shot landscapes, wildlife and a few people who were up for a portrait.

An hour later, we were editing and printing out Henry’s fabulous photos onto A3 posters.

Tomorrow we are going to take some of Henry’s photos of Whitby and Bolton Abbey and turn them into A5 greetings cards, which he will print, guillotine and crease.

Ten Fields celebrate their 10th anniversary this year and have a number of gigs in the pipeline, culminating with a show at Ilkley Playhouse on the 23rd October.

Here are some posters and leaflets we produced last week and will be guillotined this afternoon and handed over at their rehearsal tonight.
