Cardiff Certificate Sessions

Getting hold of a Cardiff taximeter certificate is changing, due to traffic issues and logistics I simply cannot get in to and around the city as fast as I used to.

Therefore every 3 weeks I will be at the same location to check your vehicle/meter and provide certificates.

Individual visits are discouraged unless its an emergency and these may cost more than attending a centralised session.

Cardiff Certificates (are valid for a year)

With the new Bridgend certificates coming into play this month, I have spoken to Cardiff licensing to obtain a validity period for Cardiff Hackney Carriage Taximeter Certificates. Something if I'm being honest no-one has been able to confirm over the years.

Cardiff Licensing have confirmed that at this time certificates are valid for a year, therefore carry on as normal requesting an annual certificate from your preferred installer.

You can obtain these several few weeks in advance of your annual renewals.

Bridgend and Cardiff Annual Certificates

The next Bridgend visit for taximeter certificates will be Monday 18th May 2026, 9.30 to 12.30pm outside FRF Toyota/Bookers in Wildmill (June 8th 2026 is the next date)

You will need this session if you are thinking of applying for an annual renewal in the next calendar month.
Thats any online annual application or renewal requested during the 18th May to the 18th June.

Cardiff
It is highly likely that I will extend this method of location based certificate production to Cardiff in the coming weeks with Bridgend in the morning and Cardiff in the afternoon. This is to assist with the large numbers of ad-hoc queries coming from the area which is difficult to service.

Getting in touch

Hi all,

Just a quick one, for some reason Whatsapp calls aren't great on my phone. So I'd prefer a normal phone call where possible, you'd think with a decent phone and connection it would be ok but for some reason its not?

Otherwise I love using Whatsapp for photos, chats and videos so please do continue using it, in fact any communication method you like (including the post!) its just those pesky Whatsapp voice calls.
