Advanced Systems mission is to offer quality products and services at a very competitive price. They are suppliers to the trade and public, supplying local schools and government as well as many local businesses. All staff at Advanced Systems are Computer Technicians, and not just sales staff as seen in many of the larger retail stores. Computers are their hobby; therefore, they enjoy their work and keep up to date with all the latest developments in the industry. Advanced Systems don’t just supply computers and components they provide solutions to your needs. It is found that a many of the people who come into the store do not really understand what is required for their needs, often asking for more than they require and sometimes they need more than they anticipated. Office / School Computer Systems that are running office applications and the Internet do not require really high end systems that are designed for the dedicated gamer in mind. However, a system that has been designed to run Office / Schoolwork will not always be right for your needs. This is especially the case when a customer starts with “I only want it for the kids for schoolwork and Internet” or that it is just for the Office, and then informs you during the analysis of their needs that they will be playing games on the system. It is the game playing that takes up the power of the computer. So it is always fully explained in easy to understand terms what their requirements actually are, and always with future upgrade ability in mind. We hope to be of service to you in the near future.

📢 A quick update on PC orders and build times

We’ve had various emails and messages asking for updates on system builds, so we thought we’d put up a post to explain where things currently stand.

Our website currently states an estimated build time of 5–14 working days, excluding weekends and delivery time. It also explains that builds may occasionally take longer depending on how busy we are.

Although I say “we”, Advanced Systems is a one-person business. I handle every build, repair, customer enquiry and customer visiting the shop. An unprecedented number of orders and repairs has put me behind, and I sincerely apologise to anyone waiting longer than expected.

I understand that you’re excited to receive your new PC, and I’m working as quickly as I can. However, I won’t rush a build through at the expense of care and testing. Every system deserves to leave here looking its best and working as it should. 🔧💻

🎄 All Christmas orders will be dispatched in time for Christmas, so please don’t worry.

And this particular Scylla is a little different from our usual builds! 👀

🏛️ In Greek mythology, Scylla was a terrifying sea monster who guarded the narrow straits opposite Charybdis, striking fear into sailors unfortunate enough to cross her path. With six fearsome heads and an appetite for destruction, she certainly wasn't a creature you wanted to encounter!

⚡ Thankfully, our Ascension Scylla is a little friendlier... although with the hardware lurking inside this one, she's every bit as formidable as her mythological namesake!

🎮 At the heart of this system sits AMD's Ryzen 7 9850X3D 8-core processor, paired with the impressive XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB graphics card. An excellent combination for high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming and capable 4K performance in modern titles.

🐧 BUT HERE'S WHERE THIS SCYLLA IS DIFFERENT!

Rather than our usual Windows 11 installation, this customer has opted for SteamOS!

That's right, we're taking a slightly different route with this build, creating a dedicated Steam gaming machine with a console-like interface, all backed by the performance and flexibility of a proper desktop gaming PC!
