🔥 PROJECT HANDOVER | IKEA GALWAY 🔥

This week, the Arcadian Fire & Security team successfully handed over one of our largest and most exciting fire alarm projects to date — a state-of-the-art Sygno-fi wireless fire detection and alarm system at the new IKEA Galway.

IKEA wanted a modern, high-performance fire detection solution — and that’s exactly what was delivered.

📡 The project began with a comprehensive wireless radio survey, allowing us to design and plan the Sygno-fi infrastructure throughout the premises before our installation team arrived on site.

The completed system included:

🔥 Sygno-fi wireless fire detection throughout
🔥 Full coverage of rooms, halls, stairwells and voids
🔥 Wireless manual call points and alarm devices
🔥 Inputs interfaced with the existing landlord fire alarm systems
🔥 Output I/O interfaces integrated back to our fire alarm control system
🔥 Lift interfaces
🔥 MOV / smoke ventilation interfaces
🔥 Fire roller door interfaces
🔥 Access control integration
🔥 Comprehensive cause & effect testing

Despite the scale and complexity of the project, the system was professionally installed, programmed, tested and commissioned in just a matter of days, ready for final handover.

Projects like this demonstrate the huge advantages that modern wireless fire technology can offer — particularly on large commercial sites where minimising cabling, disruption and installation time is critical.

🔥 **PROJECT SHOWCASE – GENOA, WARRENPOINT** 🔥

This week, the Arcadian I.T. Fire & Security team upgraded the fire alarm system at Genoa in Warrenpoint.

For this project, we selected the new **Ajax EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller in black**—a fully wireless, addressable fire alarm control panel with a modern touchscreen display and remote system management through the Ajax mobile app.

The installation included:

✅ Wireless manual call points
✅ Wireless smoke detectors with sounder bases
✅ Wireless heat detectors
✅ Wireless wall sounders
✅ Wireless interfaces linked to the access-control system
✅ Instant mobile notifications and remote system visibility

The wireless design allowed us to complete the upgrade during normal working hours with minimal disruption to the business. There was no need for extensive drilling, disruptive cable routes or large quantities of fire-rated cable—saving the client both installation time and labour costs.

The client was extremely pleased with the finished system and now benefits from a modern, reliable fire alarm solution designed to help protect staff, customers and the premises.

🔐🔥 Another Commercial Security Upgrade Completed | Tricel, Newry

Another project successfully completed for Tricel in Newry, with a comprehensive upgrade of their fire and security systems.

We started by completely rewiring and replacing the existing intruder alarm system, installing a Risco LightSYS Plus system throughout the premises. The new system is complemented by Dual-Tec PIR detectors, door contacts and perimeter protection, providing reliable detection across the site.

🔐 Access Control Upgrade
We also upgraded the access control system, installing a Dahua standalone RFID keypad, providing Tricel with secure and convenient control of access to the premises.

🔥 New Addressable Fire Alarm System
Finally, we removed the existing fire alarm system and installed a brand-new fully addressable fire alarm system throughout the premises, providing improved detection, device identification and greater visibility in the event of an activation or fault.

📡 Both the fire and intruder alarm systems are fully monitored 24/7 by our monitoring partners at Resure Monitoring, ensuring any activations are dealt with quickly and professionally.

A busy week for the Arcadian I.T. team at Newcel’s newly acquired premises in the Burren Industrial Estate, Warrenpoint.

We completed a comprehensive fire, security and network upgrade, including:

* A fully addressable fire alarm system throughout the premises
* A monitored RISCO intruder alarm featuring the advanced LightSYS Plus panel
* A complete data network installation
* Access control on the main entrance
* A Dahua AI-powered IP CCTV system covering both internal and external areas

The intelligent CCTV system provides enhanced detection, instant alerts and greater peace of mind, while all systems have been designed to offer reliable, future-ready protection for the new premises.
