Once in a while we shut the laptops, get everyone in one room, and remember that the best part of this company is the people in it.

Company day 2026: talks, presentations, delicious food, and some competitive bowling.

Big congratulations to our award winners: Andy, Mary, Nirmala, Dan and Ant. And thank you to Katie and Sophie for pulling the whole day together.

AI hasn’t made marketing easier — it’s made it faster, and those aren’t the same thing.

We’ve been using AI across SEO, content, and CRO for long enough now to know where it helps and where it doesn’t. It can speed up research, analysis, and production, but it can’t replace strategy, experience, or understanding your audience.

The best results still come from people. AI is a powerful tool, but it still needs a human behind it to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and make the final decisions.

A really interesting day at Milton Park with the team at their cyber security event.

The event featured two parallel sessions for technical teams and business leaders, built around a live cyber attack simulation exploring how organisations respond under pressure. It was a valuable reminder of how quickly things can escalate, and how important it is to stay calm, think clearly, and make sensible decisions.

The whole day was centred around real-time choices and practical takeaways to bring back into your organisation.

A big thank you to the Planet IT team for organising such a thoughtful event and for having us along. It was a really valuable day.

A little glimpse into the day ^

There were a brilliant couple of days in Brighton last week, full of ideas and new connections. We came away with plenty of useful thinking to bring back with us.

We left with fresh perspectives on how to do better work, supported by all the new tools that are evolving so quickly – but ultimately, it’s the human thinking behind it that makes the work good in the first place.

What an amazing event! See you again soon, Brighton

What an amazing first day at

We came to pick up fresh thinking on marketing, better strategy, smarter targeting, and more efficient ways to grow. Safe to say, there was plenty of that.

A lot of the talks kept circling back to one slightly uncomfortable truth - we are not fully in control anymore.

One idea came up again and again: being visible is not the same as being remembered. Algorithms decide a lot of what gets seen, but the most interesting conversations were about being more deliberate with what we put out into the world.

Because in a world that is getting faster, more automated, and easier to scale, good work still takes actual thought.

That was probably the biggest takeaway from day one. The tools are changing quickly, but the need for clear thinking, strong ideas, and work that genuinely connects with people has not gone anywhere

Earlier this week we were lucky to have a Versantus potluck lunch on a lovely, sunny spring afternoon. It had brilliant homemade food, office chat, and some healthy competition hunting for hidden eggs in the garden and all around the office. The sunshine made everyone want to stay outside a little longer, so we ended up with an office full of happy people.

Big thanks to everyone who brought something along, to the social committee for organising it all, and a special mention to Nirmala, whose starters and desserts clearly made an impression.

We did something a little different last Friday🌿🔥

Versantus were invited by Kate Drewett and Fat Squirrel Outdoor Co to take part in a Campfire & Conversation event - and it turned out to be one of the most memorable ways we’ve ever talked about AI.

The day started indoors, where our team shared what’s actually happening with AI right now - the shift from chatbots to autonomous agents, what that means for businesses, and how to start using it practically without all the hype. We shared real examples and what’s actually working. Including generating over 1,300 on-brand room designs for a client using AI image tools, something that would have taken months by traditional means.

Miles Gibson took us around his organic fruit farm and rewilding project. Robin Popham cooked an incredible seasonal lunch over an open fire. We rounded it all off with axe-throwing🪓

What struck us most was how much better those conversations are when you’re not in a meeting room. Away from screens, with good food and fresh air, people engage differently - the questions get more honest and the ideas more interesting.

If you’re thinking about how AI could genuinely help your team, we’d love to talk.

And if Kate Drewett invites you to one of these events, say yes immediately.
