🤖 AI VS. DESIGNER 🧑‍🎨

How can AI ever win? We are human. We are creative, and we are ALIVE! No one and no thing can take that away from us. Real ideas and creativity come from creative brains.

Yes, the cost of a designer will set you back more than a subscription to the latest AI platform. But in return, you get a real brain coming up with something well thought-through, unique and bespoke.

I’m going to go one step further and stick with the process. Getting a designer to create the initial designs and then allowing AI to take the lead from there isn’t going to cut it either. People notice. The minute you create that poster using AI, the damage is immediately done.

In a world where AI is becoming more common, get your business ahead with well-designed branding, assets and collateral for your brand, whilst others head in a backwards direction.

THE PROJECT 🥭

A really fun project I had the pleasure of working on for DJ, producer and percussionist Jazz Mango Jazz Mango

The brief was to create an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) that felt like an extension of his brand, while giving promoters and venues everything they need in one place.

THE DESIGN 📐

An EPK is an important part of any musician’s marketing kit, so I wanted this one to feel more like a piece of creative work than a standard PDF.

Bold type, photography, colour and graphics were all used to capture the energy of Jazz Mango and the different sides of what he does.

MAKING IT INTERACTIVE 🔗

The final result is a two-page interactive PDF, with click-through links to his tracks, social media and contact details.

So rather than just reading about the artist, you can jump straight into the music, socials and other content.

WHY AN EPK? 💻

This kind of thing isn’t just useful for DJs and musicians either.

Whether you’re a creative, freelancer or business, the way you present your work matters.

A good PDF can showcase your work, tell your story and make it really easy for someone to take the next step.
