It is with great regret that I have to tell you that the National Treasure known as JRS Photo Hardware will close on Friday 24th December 2021.
This is due to a number of reasons and the main one is that I will have to undergo a course of Chemotherapy lasting a few months. This will make it impossible for me to carry on with running the Business and so I have to prepare for this.
In addition, we have been severely affected by Covid and two disastrous Lockdowns. This is exacerbated by the severe lack of availability of Cameras and Photo Hardware due to a combination of shortage of microchips, Suez Canal blockages aftermath and the continuing competition of the Internet.
It is often the case that I cannot buy the goods at prices to compete on the internet and the natural conclusion is that we suffer severely. I have tried to explain the difference to customers between price and cost mostly to no avail.
I have been extremely well blessed with supportive staff throughout my 20 years of the owning the Business and for the loyal customers who have supported me throughout.
In an effort to balance the books I will have Clearance sale with 10% of everything except Passport Photos and Photos through the Lab.
I will still be doing Professional Passport Photos up until Christmas Eve.
