Dear Islay -

If you aren't locked into a contract with BT you can move your digital voice service to an independent company. This will let you use any internet connection to make calls. 4G/5G? ScotNet? Satellite? There ARE options.

If you are in a contract with BT you can at least download their digital voice app for your Android or iPhone so your handset and mobile can both receive calls for your digital voice number. Then when your broadband fails you'll have a backup.

The app you download depends whether you've got their consumer or business voice service. Please reach out if you need help.
