A major projection upgrade completed for a local school in Essex this week.

The AV Barn supplied a new 11,000-lumen Panasonic Projector & Display laser projector, paired with a selected long throw lens to achieve the required image across a distance of more than 16.5 metres. A significant improvement in brightness, reliability and image quality while making full use of the school’s existing screen and infrastructure to keep costs lower.

The existing projection screen was still fit for purpose, but the ageing projector was no longer delivering the brightness and performance required within a busy sports hall environment.

To protect the projector in its demanding location, we also specified a custom-manufactured protective cage from RA Technology, providing a robust and professional installation while maintaining the necessary ventilation and access.

Installation and commissioning were completed by our parent company, ESL-AV.

Another bespoke commercial audio system ready to leave The AV Barn, this time heading to a music bar in Northern Ireland.

Every rack we build is professionally assembled, tested, labelled and programmed before it leaves our workshop, making installation faster and ensuring consistent performance from day one.

Rather than an off-the-shelf package, this system was designed around the venue’s requirements, delivering powerful foreground music when the atmosphere needs lifting, while providing clear, evenly distributed background music throughout the rest of the venue. The ability to connect to an existing Jukebox, TV system, plus AUX sources was a must alongside Bluetooth connectivity.

For this project, we supplied a fully mobile lighting and audio system, giving the school complete flexibility to use it wherever it’s needed across the site.

The system includes:
• 8 LED stage spotlights on portable stands
• PC-based lighting control with a laptop supplied, programmed and ready to use
• A professional flightcase housing an easy to use audio mixer and wireless belt-pack microphone system with flesh-coloured headset microphones
• Full on-site installation, setup and staff training
