In all honesty, this is a national disgrace. We founded Crate and got into the world of software, after working in the construction sector and seeing how much time was wasted, chasing paper trails and manually checking over records. Over the years, the mission remains the same, but the drivers have changed (pardon the pun!) When, as a population will we actually care about our environment? Take away the green washing and the proposed culture that word suggests. We mean physical surroundings, environment. Your towns, your countryside, your parks, your beaches. We're talking about Britain, a place many proclaim to be proud to be from, but few seem to act like it. It starts with something as simple as dropping a wrapper on the street and over time it compounds to full scale, industrial illegal fly-tipping on our beaches!? When is enough enough, and who's going to help make that change? We fail to see who's actually going to step up to the plate and fix this problem, or at least lead the fight against the problem. Using software is absolutely one string on the bow to combatting illegal waste tipping, but there absolutely has to be more, stricter punishment for those involved. What are your thoughts? Does this wind you up as much as it should? How would you put an end to the ever growing problem? Increased disposal costs only adds to the problem, but what are the alternatives? Interested to hear your thoughts.
