Programming is not about a bunch funny characters you have to memorise or zeros and ones which you have to stare down till it magically become letters, whilst there are levels of programming that are complex, the majority of the languages are high level languages and therefore written with words that you can read and write, not as complex as you might imagine, therefore I encourage you to give it a try for yourself.
