Most digital products don't fail because of bad engineering.
They fail because nobody owns what happens after go-live.
The person who commissioned the build moves on. The product exists. The team has disbanded. But the product needs to be adopted, championed, and grown into. None of that is automatic.
There are two roles every digital product needs before it launches.
The Deliverer owns the vision, commissions the build, and delivers the brief. The Successor owns what comes next β driving adoption, building internal momentum, and keeping the product moving forward.
Most organisations only fill one of them.
The gap between those two roles is where strategic value goes to die. We've written about what closing it actually looks like.
