Game On was established in Church Street, Saffron Walden in 1997 and moved to larger premises in the High Street in 2000 to accommodate a larger selection of stock. We have a large range of all gaming formats from new releases back to old retro consoles of the 90's. We sell new and pre-owned games for all these major gaming systems as well as offering a pre-order and reservation service, and can o

ften get hold of hard to obtain titles. We are increasing our toy and game selection, currently we stock LEGO, Playmobil, Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, Dungeon’s & Dragons, Remote Control Cars, Hornby, Airfix, Sylvanian Families, Jigsaws and many Board Games. Game On Toymaster also stocks the full Games Workshop range of miniature figurines and accessories, and has in-store gaming every Sunday. Here gamers can learn to play and paint their models in a safe friendly environment. Customers can also take advantage of the in-store gaming pods as Game On Toymaster believes that playing great games and having fun keeps it’s customers coming back. We only close three days a year (Christmas Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday).

Our Games Workshop Summer Painting Competition was judged last Friday, we had a number of entries, with more models from younger painters than in the older category. It was a very hard choice to narrow it down to just the three finalists.

Pictured here are the top three, with Richard, Henry and Rhys making the finals. Richard came first with his excellent Ciaphas Cain. We then had two siblings take second and third place with Henry's Chaos Sorcerer Lord and and Rhys's Ork Nob.

Thank you so much to everyone who entered, there were some really well painted models, these can be viewed in our cabinet in the store until they're collected.

Our Design Your Dream LEGO Vehicle & Character competition closing date is the 21st of August, so there's still time to enter.

Entry forms are available in store, take it home and design your very own Vehicle & Character and get it back to us by the end of the week.

One lucky customer is receiving a LEGO set worth £24.99, in addition, their entry will then be entered in a prize draw to win one of 2 LEGOLAND WINDSOR holiday packages.

Saffron Walden Town Council is pleased with the positive support for its free Tuesday Market and Shopper Bus, the service continues to help residents and visitors access the town centre more easily.

Residents are encouraged to try the service available every Tuesday with passengers eligible to claim a variety of local discounts including 10% off food and drink purchases from the Tourist Information Centre (on Tuesdays only and the bus ticket must be presented).

The free Market & Shopper Bus runs every Tuesday for the duration of the 12 week trial. The full timetable is available online at saffronwalden.gov.uk/news/swtc-shopper-bus/ and paper copies are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Market Square.
