Two years. Two salon clients. Two award nominations.

For the second year running, a salon I work closely with has been recognised in the Salisbury Journal Awards and it’s such a lovely thing to see.

Last year, Ellure Hair & Beauty took home the award, a business I’ve loved working with across their branding, website and photography.

And this year, Redbrook Clinic has been named a finalist for Beauty Salon of the Year. Another brilliant business I’m lucky enough to work closely with across their digital presence and marketing.

The credit for these achievements belongs to the incredible women behind these businesses and the work they put in every single day. But there is something very satisfying about seeing businesses I’ve helped build brands for, create content for and market go on to get this kind of recognition. ❤️

From branding and websites to photography, content creation and ongoing social media, I get to see just how much goes into building a salon brand beyond what happens in the treatment room.

And I think it might be fair to say… salons, beauty and aesthetics have become a bit of a Fox & Fig speciality.

So if you run a salon or clinic and feel like your branding, website or social media doesn’t quite reflect the standard of the business you’ve built, I’d love to work with you.

And a HUGE congratulations to Redbrook Clinic.

A finalist for Beauty Salon of the Year has described the recognition as a testament to the loyalty of our patients and the hard work that goes into…

I’ve recently designed and built the new website for Solent Water Treatment, a family-run business with over 40 years of experience helping homeowners improve their water quality.

The brief was to create a site that not only explains their services clearly, but also makes it easy for customers to browse and purchase products online.

The new website combines:

💧Service pages designed to educate and inform
💧Clear navigation to help customers find the right solution
💧An integrated e-commerce shop
💧Mobile-friendly design
💧Strong local SEO foundations
💧A user experience built around simplicity and trust

Whether someone is researching water softeners, booking a service, or ordering supplies online, the site has been designed to make the process straightforward from start to finish.

It’s always a pleasure to look at past work, especially when it’s been jazzed up beautifully for summer like this! ☀️ 🌹 🌷

I think one of the biggest misconceptions in business right now is that you need more content. 📷

Most business owners don’t actually need more content. They need better content.

Content that reflects the quality of their business and builds trust, that feels consistent.

Your content should make people stop and think,
“this business feels established.”

The harsh reality is, potential clients are forming opinions long before they ever enquire… we are all guilty of this!

The overall feeling your business gives off online.

If that content feels rushed, inconsistent or unclear, people hesitate, even if your actual service is excellent.

The problem is, most business owners are trying to create content between everything else. Late at nights, between appointments, in admin time, while already overwhelmed with the day to day running of the business.

Good quality content isn’t about posting every single day. It’s about creating a strong enough online presence that your business still looks credible, trustworthy and professional even when you’re busy.

That’s why investing in quality visuals, intentional branding and strategic content matters so much.

Not because it’s “nice to have”, because your online presence is often the first impression your business gets.

🙋🏻‍♀️📸🎥That’s exactly why I offer strategic content creation sessions and social media management that’s designed to take the pressure off.

Designed so you can focus on running your business, while building a catalogue of high-quality content that reflects the level you operate at.

Most equine brands lean heavily on the same overused visuals the horse outline and the general predictable aesthetic of a horse.

We deliberately stepped away from that.

For Hayley Hallums Veterinary Physiotherapy, the brand needed to reflect a more considered approach. Something that spoke to structure, precision, and a deeper understanding.

The logo is built around balance and alignment, with subtle elements, the vertical structure anchoring the horse’s movement, while the surrounding elements echo a pair of hands guiding and supporting along the spine. A quiet nod to the work happening beneath the surface. The colour palette follows the same thinking, grounded, muted, and practical.

I love that every logo and brand should carry a story and this does exactly that. Every decision was made to position the brand away from the generic stock images you see of horses on logos and feel more refined and intentional. Hayley Hallums
