closer look at our branding work for Jessica Fern Counselling Psychotherapy 🌿

The project was built around a simple idea: making the first step into therapy feel a little easier. We created a calm, nurturing identity that builds on the existing brand, while introducing a more considered visual system across print, digital, and social touchpoints.

V - A Collection Of First Times

A typographic book exploring anonymous accounts through expressive layout and type as image. Each story is designed to capture not just what’s being said, but how it’s remembered.

The physical form is part of the narrative- stories are sealed within perforated French-folded pages, requiring the reader to break into them - a deliberate act that mirrors the weight and intimacy of what’s being shared. No two openings are the same, making each interaction personal and unrepeatable.

We don’t just design for screens - we create considered, conceptual print work too. Read more about the project here: www.at-gd.com/typographic-book-design

After years of feeling undefined, Temperance Hotel needed a reset.

Together, we brought it back to its roots - a classic Victorian pub - reworked with a modern edge to keep it relevant, without losing its character.

Ludlow Bar came to us with a solid foundation — it just needed moments of contrast.
We introduced brighter accents, more personality, and a series of small brand touchpoints — including these coasters.

The Pelican 🍻
Bringing an Old-English pub aesthetic to Melbourne Airport.

With the space still in development, the identity was shaped through early conversations and interior direction. Materials like stained glass, timber and leather informed the visual language and overall brand.

A rich navy blue became the primary colour, complementing the interior palette while subtly referencing aviation and the pelican’s coastal habitat.

Alongside the wordmark, a simple pelican icon was developed in the style of cameo silhouettes — inspired by nineteenth-century profile portraits and echoing the vintage character of the space.

We worked with JUNI Melbourne to launch their “SRSLY Happy Hour” — a campaign designed to feel playful, full of personality, and impossible to ignore in a saturated Melbourne market.

Leaning into the idea of “happy” (and then pushing it further), we drew on traditional Vietnamese smiling masks — amplifying expression to an almost exaggerated level. It became a visual way to reflect both the Southeast Asian influence of the menu and the “SRSLY” part of the offer — something that goes beyond your standard happy hour.
From concept to launch, the campaign came to life across social media, animations and in-venue print — from posters to custom menus at the bar.

If you’ve got something worth shouting about, we’d love to help bring it to life 🍸🍺

Throwback gig poster design for Temperance Hotel.

A mix of custom illustration and layered, high-energy typography to capture the feel of the night and bring a bit of personality to the walls.

We love working on gig and event posters like this — if you’ve got something coming up, we’re always open to a chat.
