4 useful tips to consider before your start your new website
Where to start is often the hardest part of the process, so here are some tips to help you get going with your new site.
1. Where do you want to be in the future? Without a goal for 1, 3 or even 5 years, you'll just make this process impossible! Choose at least one goal if you don't already have one.
2. What do you need the site to do for you? What do you need exactly? Make sure you have a plan for this. It could be new leads, repeat orders, number of visits. It's best to get detailed with this, because the more specific you get about the results you want, the better your results are likely to be.
3. How are you going to get people to visit? You must have a plan for this, because expecting people to magically visit will not work! There are many ways to approach this including social media, advertising, word of mouth and much more. There are also many people who can help you with this part of the process.
4. When they arrive, where will they go? Your site is your front-desk employee who is (hopefully) welcoming your customers 24/7! Create some journeys for your visitors to go on once they arrive at your site, through pages or through content, always arriving at a destination where you can both meet, and you can provide them with the service they're after.
Now you have a fantastic plan, I would recommend getting inspired by other sites or brands and bring these with you when you make a start!
