Our engineer Simon preparing to install another of our Rural Broadband dishes. We really need to stop calling them 'Rural' as we install them in a wide range of places - usually where cabled broadband struggles to deliver speeds in excess of 10MB... You'd be amazed how many sites still exist where this is the case - especially in Lincolnshire, North Notts and Derbyshire.

VOOT's founder, Nigel Short, once said to me that "Great service isn’t just about speed; it’s about sincerity and trust." If you consider what it means, on a deeper level, to run your business with that ethical mindset it makes your work that much more fulfilling. Why are we doing what we do, especially if we work in a customer-facing business?

Since I moved to Sheffield, nearly a decade ago, I've come to realise that sincerity and an ethical approach to life is a natural way of being of the people of this city. Don't fight it! It's part of Sheffield's history. Inspired by this, and how VOOT runs, I wrote the following blog post.
