Nikki wanted a brand she could really own and get behind, and it made complete sense to bring her favourite co-workers into her branding too!

I’m not sure how it’s been 4 years since I left a job already 🤯

I’d loved my job, but I knew it was the right time to go.

The next few months I spent trying to work out where to go next. I thought I wasn’t anywhere near ready enough to go it alone solo.
Might have been wrong about that one 😅

Turns out when you go all in you have no choice but to make it work.

Even through all the tough bits, the stress, the days where I want to jack it all in and go work in a supermarket, it’s still the best pivot I could have done ✌️

I thought I was going to be a pilot...

Would have been interesting seen as I hate going upside down 🙃

I was very close to joining the air force as a photographer though.

It came down to that or uni at the time - for some crazy reason I picked uni.

But I did get to do a great day of work experience with the RAF photography team at Valley before I decided.

Running around an air base with a fancy camera, I was in my element 🤓

But I can’t imagine doing anything other than what I do now, so I made the right decision.

It did build on my love of photography though - it might be time to bring my camera back out! 📸

I do miss running around with my mates every weekend flying and shooting though! ✈️

July was the month of the girls night, and I’ve still got another one to squish in before the end of the month 💙

The first ever job I worked on for these guys was in 2017.

The original directors asked me to work up a logo for their 10 year anniversary.

Who knew all this time, and lots of life changes later, we’d still be working together.

Theses guys were the first people to take a chance on me.
(Ngl, it helped that George knew what I was capable of all along! He probably didn’t realise how much I’d do his head in though 😂)

9 years, lots of events, one rebrand, lots of friends made and we’ve smashed some pretty incredible projects out of the park. I’ve ended up doing some pretty crazy stuff for them over the years. Always grateful for the trust this team puts in me.

Consistent branding can increase revenue by up to 23% 👀

But, most brands will still chase short term attention instead of long term recognition.

People don’t remember brands because they’re loud.
They remember them because they’re familiar and consistently show up.

Our brains love certainty... the same colours, tone and message shown again and again is what earns peoples trust.

and, emotion is the real shortcut to memory.
You can forget what a brand sells, but you never how it made you feel 💙

If people have to work to understand who you are, they won’t bother.
Try to be for everyone, and you become memorable to no one.

And it all compounds. No brand became unforgettable off one campaign, (even those big campaigns we remember are from brands we already knew).
It’s built through repetition, over time.

Memorable brands aren’t accidental.
They’re built by choice, time and consistency.
