Well, first time for everything! Coolant failure! Rare, especially after only 3 months! The original purple coolant, which looked stunning, lost its 'pop'! 🫢🥹 a little hard to see in the pics.
Maybe the extreme heat we've had caused it, who knows. 🤔
So, a change in coolant brand, a switch to 'sky blue' & finally found stock of all white fittings to replace the few black ones i had from a previous build. 👌
Time for Assassins Creed: Black Flag Resynced! 👍🤓

Simple little build done today. & no GPU or DDR5 in sight, for a change.
Mostly will be used for office duties, with some light video & photo editing.
Made sure room was left for possible upgrades in the future. 😊👌🤓

ASUS 6850M XT eGPU in for a service. Running very hot! 🔥🥵
Simple, but satisfying job.
Liquid metal removed & replaced with MX-6. Thermal putty still ok, so tided up and reused. Fan cleaned. Job done. ✔️ 👌😎

Stunning MSI laptop in for a service. Running so hot, it shut down in minutes!
Fans cleaned & crap factory thermal compound replaced with Arctic Cooling MX-6. The GPU was actually missing some compound from its centre! & the CPU was caked in it! 🫢🫣
Fairly simple, but satisfying job & big drop in temperature! 👌🤓
