I'm a mixed artist and designer creating art to tell stories and communicate ideas. Hand created but digitally produced; my design work can be used in a variety of applications - from fabrics to billboards. Really delighted to be able to share this project with you.

Georgieā€™s chair had been given to her from her late Grandmother. It had lots of great memories associated with it but needed a lot of TLC. Springs had come loose and fabric frayed. It needed a complete overhaul.

So, I worked on designing a fabric that represented those memories (cottage garden flowers collaged in to a repeat pattern) and tied in colours to fit with Georgieā€™s house colours (Portland Stone).

The chair was reupholstered in my design in a velour fabric and presented this weekend.

And the feedback was wonderfulā€¦ and has made me smile ever since.

Hello! For those that donā€™t know me, I thought Iā€™d introduce myself a littleā€¦

šŸŒŸ My name is Jessamine (Jess-a-min) but everyone calls me Jess šŸ˜Š

šŸŒŸI live and work from my home in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. I share this with my writer husband, two kids, and mad dog Mika šŸ•

šŸŒŸ Iā€™ve had a duel career most of my life - crossing between art/design and people-culture management. Iā€™ve decided that now is the time to focus on what I really love, and thatā€™s making art, creating patterns, and telling peopleā€™s stories through great design ā¤ļø

šŸŒŸ I have a Masters in Graphic Design and Typography. Itā€™s an achievement Iā€™m really proud of as I did it whilst working full time and through Covid. I got a distinction šŸ”šŸ“œ
