When a small central IT team supports 20 schools, new infrastructure needs to improve performance without becoming harder to manage.

James Montgomery Academy Trust began by working with Wave9 on seven DfE-funded network and Wi-Fi upgrades. This was followed by trust-wide broadband and the rollout of WaveTalk hosted telephony.

This phased approach has helped create greater consistency across the Trust while keeping its infrastructure manageable for the central team.

Standardising connectivity and safeguarding services across 47 sites is a significant project, especially when those services need to remain available throughout the change.

Wave9 helped Nexus Multi Academy Trust introduce consistent broadband, firewall and web-filtering services across its estate of 20 schools.

Careful planning enabled the work to be completed with zero downtime, avoiding disruption for staff and pupils. Centralised management has also given the Trust greater visibility and control across its sites.
