Audio Visual Installation Wetherby – AV System Installed at St John's Catholic Specialist School, Boston Spa
Definition Audio Visual has recently completed another successful audio visual installation near Wetherby at St John's Catholic Specialist School in Boston Spa, delivering a complete sound and display solution for the school's facilities.
As part of the installation, we supplied and installed a new 19" rack cabinet housing a Cloud MX190 rack-mount mixer with nine audio inputs, providing the school with a flexible and easy-to-use audio system for assemblies, presentations, performances, and events.
To provide high-quality wireless audio, we installed four Sennheiser radio microphone receivers, including two handheld wireless microphones and two lapel (lavalier) radio microphone systems, offering excellent speech clarity and freedom of movement for staff and presenters.
The equipment rack also includes a Crown stereo power amplifier and a Tascam Bluetooth audio receiver, allowing simple wireless music streaming from smartphones, tablets, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
To maximise value for the customer, we integrated the school's existing Electro-Voice wall-mounted loudspeakers, ensuring they continue to deliver excellent sound quality while benefiting from the new control equipment.
For the visual element of the project, we installed a stunning Samsung 85-inch professional display, providing a bright, high-resolution screen ideal for presentations, video playback, and school events.
The display is connected using a Bluestream HDMI over CAT5 extender kit, allowing reliable long-distance HDMI signal transmission. We also installed a Bluestream HDMI audio de-embedder, enabling audio from the display sources to be seamlessly fed into the new sound system for clear, room-filling audio.
