I have setup a Computer Rehab Community Group on WhatsApp. This is to allow me to keep you informed of important news items and information that could effect you.

Items Like:
Security items.
Scams that are doing the rounds and what to look out for.
Updates from Microsoft and other software companies.
Services that we offer.

To join the community simply scan the attached QR code with the camera on your phone or tablet or click on the link. You can remove yourself at any time. Another Scamming email appeared in my mailbox today.

No internet security will protect you against these types of scam/phishing emails.

Hot and sunny last week, freezing this week in the office.

I decided to try and use AI to produce an image to reflect the UK weather. I think this image produced by CoPilot pretty much hits the mark.

If you havent used AI yet it is very clever. I just described what I wanted and it produced the picture below.

CoPilot (Microsofts AI) or ChatGPT, there are lots of these about can produce images, read text and summerise. write you a letter, just describe what you require. It can calculate figures. I asked it to tell me if I had a loan of £5000 over 5 years at an APR of 20% what would I pay back. It worked it out for me.

Beware: Fake Amazon Text Message.

Just to keep you on the ball. I received a text message yesterday, nothing new but this was a Scam text I hadn’t seen before. A photo of it is below. It was saying that something I had purchased months ago had been recalled for safety reasons. It said I should follow the link and instructions to arrange for a refund.

The link to follow was https://shorturl.at/vnsN9?uu=3aGaZMfv As you can see it has nothing to do with Amazon. Surprise surprise if you follow the link it takes you to a fake Amazon page asking for you to log in and provide your email address and password.

BINGO !! They have your details and can access your account. What should you do ? Just delete it and forget about it.
