I know we've been quiet for a little while, but we still around giving a new lease of life to older laptops, such as this lovely Lenovo Thinkpad we refurbished recently and have placed for sale in the Reuse Hub.

We'd like to take a moment to celebrate all our amazing volunteers here at Reboot.

Over the past year, they've worked for over a thousand total hours, helping to refurbish hundreds of laptops, and aiding in donating dozens to Stirling residents.

They've been invaluable in helping reduce ewaste and fight digital poverty in the Stirling area.

Nobody in the Stirling area need ever have a slow laptop again.

End of an era.

With our first large batch of Supercharged laptops done (we make your slow laptop super fast again for £60), we have some solid stats. On average, laptops have booted three times as fast, and applications have launched between three and five times as fast after supercharging!

Our Laptop Supercharge service has been absolutely abuzz with interest! We are so pleased so many people in Stirling are interested in getting a bit more life out of older laptops and we've seen such a positive response!

A big thanks to Dunblane ECO fest for inviting us to host a stall at their event last Saturday. Our staff and volunteers greatly enjoyed meeting everyone there and talking to the public about our project and services!

Anyone out there have a slow laptop that's frustrating them?

We've been speeding up hundreds of laptops over the last few years, and thought we'd give out a nice simple tip to our followers today.

Often you can do a little bit of work at speeding it up yourself with a few simple settings tweaks. A simple Google search can bring up many sources that'll walk you through quick at home fixes, but here's an excellent example for Windows 11.

Use these tips to speed up your Windows 11 PC—no matter its age or hardware—while keeping its look and full functionality intact.
