🎉 Happy Learning Disability Week! 🎉
Did you know that Learning Disability Week got started right here in the UK several years ago? It was created with the beautiful purpose of giving a voice to those who have historically been less recognised because of their learning disabilities. 🗣
Education and awareness surrounding what it means to have additional needs are incredibly important, especially since learning disabilities impact at least 15-20% of the global population. 🌍
Speaking of awareness, did you know that the most common learning disability is dyslexia? As many as 80% of all people with learning disabilities have dyslexia. Assistive technology and having the right digital device can make reading and navigating the world so much easier for those who need support. 💻✨
Currently, only 1.2% of adults with a learning disability are employed, even though 86% of those who are unemployed want to have a paid job. 💼🤓
