There are many pitfalls when buying a new PC and it is easy to end up with poorly matched parts, bottlenecks and overpowered part choices.

My business model is simple.
During the free consultation I will ask you pertinent questions about use, like; screen resolution, storage capacity, speed, etc until I have enough to spec up a build.

I offer a quote for the build and a quote for the part list.

Because each build is unique, to you, I operate a zero stock business model. This frees me to use multiple suppliers, meaning I can chase the best prices and make the right choices.

All good things come to those who wait. Terms and conditions do apply*.

On top of builds I offer a free support service where I note your manufacturer warranty information by component and send you notifications when warranties are running out.

All builds are covered by manufacturer warranties only. The builder holds no liability for faults. As a minimum the builder will install OS, drivers and perform a performance check before going through warranty registrations and signover. For a fee systems can be optimised and/or soak tested.

System upgrades may require a third party program to be installed in order to determine exact system specs if parts are unknown.

No profit is made from components.

Slow burn supersaver build service. Instead of saving up for a year for your build, through me you can build a component at a time, putting your money to best use. Prices fluctuate all the time with flash sales. I monitor them. This allows me to either bring costs down from the original price, or use superior components that are on special offer.

There are so many things to watch out for when building a PC.

Here's a potentially costly mistake avoiding bit of advice.

Make sure you do not cheap out on your power supply.

Your power supply regulates the electrical flow into the motherboard and you need one that can comfortably handle spikes in demand from components such as modern graphics cards and processors.

With the likes of Seasonic, Corsair and Antec offering a 7 to 10 year warranty (Certain Seasonic and Corsair units have 12 years) with UK RMA services.

80+ Gold rating minimum on components. Higher quality components, by 80+ rating result in better performance at regulating power.

ATX 3.0 is the new standard moving forwards, so at this time I would only recommend that.

I have here a brilliantly informing article here that explains why I would only use an ATX 3.0 power supply in any build that comes from me.

My personal minimum choice for a PSU is the Corsair RM850e, which retails around £111 with a 7 year warranty.
