A customer dropped of a Dell Inspiron laptop which wouldn't startup. Identified that the system board in the laptop had become faulty and needed replacing.

After customer approved the repair cost a new one was ordered, fitted and now the laptop is back with the customer.

Support for Windows 10 will end in October 2025

Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 will reach its end of life (EOL) on October 14, 2025:

After this date, Microsoft will stop providing security updates, technical support, and free software updates from Windows Update.

However, the PC will still work, but it's recommended to move to Windows 11. Without updates, PCs running Windows 10 can become a security issue.

Stripped down an old Samsung laptop today to replace the fan and reapply the thermal paste to the CPU Heatsink.

A replacement battery fitted for a Dell XPS 15 laptop this evening. The old battery would only keep the laptop on for 30 minutes.

A Lenovo Yoga 360 came to us with a problem with the screen going black. Issued fixed and laptop given a good server. Customer picked up laptop very pleased.

A new client had a noisy CPU fan in her Asus laptop. A new one was ordered and fitted today. The laptop is now as quiet as a mouse and ready to be returned to the owner.
