Following our recent spotlight on the E8, we’re taking a closer look at another standout from our d&b audiotechnik hire range: the Y10P.

The Y10P is a compact, high-performance point source loud speaker featuring two 8-inch drivers in a dipole arrangement and a 1.4-inch compression driver.

With controlled 110° horizontal and 40° vertical dispersion, it provides clear, powerful and consistent audio coverage across corporate events, exhibitions and live productions. Its horn can also be rotated by 90°, allowing horizontal deployment when required and providing greater flexibility for different venues and event configurations. We’re delighted to announce that Ciaran Whyte has been promoted to Junior Project Manager. 👏

Over the past two and a half years, Ciaran has been an integral part of the team as an Onsite Technician, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a wide range of live events and projects. During this time, he has worked closely with clients and colleagues alike, helping to ensure every project is delivered smoothly from build through to show day.

His technical knowledge, practical experience and client-focused approach have made him a natural fit for the next stage of his career.

In his new role, Ciaran will support the project management team in planning and delivering high-quality AV solutions for our clients. We’re excited to see him grow in the role and continue building on everything he has achieved so far.

Designed for small to medium-scale sound reinforcement, the CCL-Series combines powerful output with precise, controlled coverage in a lightweight and flexible system.

🙌 A little team time away from the day job!

Last week, the ATC team swapped the office and event sites for two very different team days out.

The ladies headed to Resorts World Birmingham, starting with an Escape Hunt challenge before afternoon tea at the Sky Bar and some well-earned downtime at Santai Spa. And with both the London and Midlands teams failing to escape their rooms, we’re calling that one a draw! 😂🔐

Meanwhile, the gents headed to Adventure Sports in Warwick for a slightly more adrenaline fuelled day of 4x4 off-roading, go-karting and pistol & rifle shooting. 🏎️

Two very different days, but both were all about getting together away from work, having a laugh and enjoying some quality team time.

🎬 That’s a wrap on our Freelancer Open Days!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our Midlands HQ this week. It was great to welcome so many familiar faces and new ones through the doors, catch up with freelancers from across the industry, share ideas and enjoy a few days of networking and all things AV.

And, of course, there was plenty of kit to get hands-on with too. 👀

Across the Open Days, we had a wide selection of audio, sound systems, video, lighting, LED and event technology set up and on display, giving everyone the opportunity to get hands-on with the equipment, ask questions and see some of the latest additions to our hire inventory in action.

On display were the Barco E3, d&b audiotechnik CCL Series, Yamaha DM7 and DM7 Compact, Ayrton Rivale Profile, alongside our 2.6mm Shield LED and 2.6mm XS Curved LED – plus plenty more from across our hire inventory.

Thanks again to everyone who came along and helped make it such a great few days – we’re already looking forward to the next one!

👋 Welcome to the team, Jamie!`

We’re pleased to officially welcome Jamie Chaloner to ATC, joining our Midlands team as Project Manager.

Jamie is already a familiar face at ATC, having worked with us for many years as a freelancer and becoming well known to both our team and clients along the way.

Jamie began his career in theatre, touring a variety of productions across the UK, before moving into arena and concert touring, working with a number of artists across the UK, Europe and Asia. He also brings extensive experience in corporate events, alongside previous Project Manager roles within the AV industry.

With such a broad background across theatre, touring, live events and corporate production, Jamie brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to his new role at ATC.

We’re delighted to have Jamie officially on board, we’re sure many of you will already know him, so join us in welcoming him to his new role!
