Solar energy, intelligently managed.

The client wanted more than simple PV monitoring - they needed a system that could actively optimise energy use based on real-time solar production, grid interaction and household demand.

With LOXONE, the Fronius photovoltaic system was integrated via Modbus TCP, giving live visibility of production, consumption and grid flow directly in the LOXONE App.

From there, the system automatically prioritises self-consumption by activating high-demand loads when surplus solar energy is available - including heating, domestic hot water and EV charging. During lower production periods, loads can be reduced or deferred to minimise grid dependency.

The result is a fully automated energy management system that improves efficiency, reduces operating costs and makes the most of renewable energy. All whilst maintaining great comfort without any compromises

A beach pavilion brought under one intelligent system.

Previously, the gas boiler, ventilation and other installations operated separately, with no central coordination. The site also needed reliable HACCP temperature logging for cold and freezer rooms, with alerts for faults or deviations.

With LOXONE, HVAC, ventilation, temperature monitoring and technical alarms are now integrated into one central platform. Cold and freezer rooms are automatically logged, with alerts for temperature issues, technical faults or doors left open too long.

Even the wastewater pump sump is monitored, helping detect issues early and keep operations running smoothly.
