Warning! You could be losing your website visitors if you have slow loading pages.

Your website speed has never been as important as it is now. It really does affect everything! Google's own research shows that the longer a user has to wait for a page to load, the more chance they will leave your site, with the probability of bounce increasing by 32% as page load time goes from 1 second to 3 seconds. That is a lot of potential customers leaving a website that is loading slowly.

If your page load times are greater than 2.5 seconds, there is every chance that you can get an improvement.

If you are running WordPress websites you probably already know about the exceptional value for money they offer (the code is free, hosting so reasonably priced), when compared to any enterprise CMS system.

You probably know too about the flexibility that the huge community of plugins that make WordPress (and comparable Open Source platforms Joomla and Drupal), the most flexible that there are. After all, where else can you get hundreds of popular shopping carts, community forums, calendars, or galleries, all completely free of charge?

But despite its benefits even a WordPress site is not a free pass – you still need to look after it like a responsible web citizen, if you want to provide your customers with an exceptional user experience.

We are proud to be supporting the crowdfunding work of CLEAR , a Cornwall based charity. CLEAR support people who have been affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse and other emotional trauma.

CLEAR is focussing both on supporting victims of abuse and also to stop abuse from occurring in the first place. They have created CLEAR 4 Schools program which includes the Peer Support Plus Program.
