Not every great independent needs an online shop – but every great independent needs a website that tells the whole story.
Yesterday, team Fruity spent the afternoon at The Clothes Hanger in Holmfirth with owner Rachel Ackroyd, shooting fresh content and walking through Figma designs for a new site that reflects how the business really works:
A beautiful bricks-and-mortar store open two days a week, and the rest of the week spent sourcing, styling, home visits and private sales.
This project is all about building credibility and brand trust - making it easy for people to find Rachel via brand search and local search, clearly communicating services, appointments and how to buy and sell - all reflecting the sustainable, high-end high street and designer mix without a “click to buy” button.
No one-size-fits-all templates here – just human-led strategy, content and design that fits how a real Yorkshire business actually operates.
If you’re running a service-led or appointment-based business and a traditional e-commerce setup has never felt quite “you”, there is another way to do web upgrades.
Drop me a message if you’d like a site that works as hard as you do – even when you’re out on the road, with clients, or sourcing the good stuff.
