Every week, we will feature a few staff members of Ghost Software from both the UK and Lahore. You will be able to see what they look like and they will provide some background information about themselves.

Hi, I am Waqar. I started working in Ghost many, many years ago (can't remember exactly which was the year. I guess it was 2004). My designation is Software Engineer. I was the third IT employee in the company. It was the time when Naseem (now head of office catering) used to bring tea bags, milk, sugar and cups to your desk and used to make tea by asking how much of each ingredient you would like. Doesn’t happen like that today though!
I laugh a lot whenever I look back at the original code I used to write.

I learnt a lot from my seniors (bosses particularly). Today I am a Principal Software Engineer and I am playing a major role in our international product lines, especially OmniPCX Record which is an Alcatel-Lucent application.
Got married last year and have a cute little daughter of age 3.5 months. Just seeing her laugh makes all my weariness disappear when I get back home from the office

After every two years, I run away from Lahore with my friends to search for adventure in the mountains where I have the two riskiest journeys of my life.

Hi, my name is Sohaib and I am the company’s graphic designer. When I came to Ghost I was a good artist and for the last four years I have also been able to go to Art College. I create some of the product logos and icons and also design the web user interfaces for our products. I also create web animation in Flash. A short time ago, we posted brief bio's and pics of some of the Ghost Software personnel. As we now have more people following this page, here is your chance to meet them again.

Hi there, I am Waqas in support. Most of our customers know me but have probably never seen me (that’s good!)
I support our voice recording software which is installed in 35 countries around the world and you can see I am surrounded by telephone handsets as I am testing a new feature (which incidentally is not working).
For your information, I am one of four brothers and sisters . I am 25 years old and not yet married!! ..and I live in Lahore. My last job was at Pakistan Telephone Company (PTCL), which is the equivalent in Pakistan to British Telecom in the UK. So I guess I am a Telephony specialist.

Hey! My name is Siddiqua, and I joined Ghost Software as a Technical Writer with a prime responsibility of managing technical documentation. It’s been almost 2 years working with a “living-in-harmony-with each-other” staff and I enjoy (if not all) MANY facets of working here. Please note my current professional status; is “Project Coordinator”, and I take it very seriously! ^_^

When I’m interpreting engineering language into clear & concise English, my online buddies don’t even find “Hi’s” or “Hello’s” coming from me. On the other hand, when I’m not at work, my colleagues don’t find me ooking so DULL”! =D.

I am Zagham. I was the first Ghost employee in 2004 when we started in a small house in the Johar Town suburb of Lahore. I started as office manager of 4 or 5 people but I now look after HR and I sometimes do the credit chasing with customers, so I am not always everyone’s friend! We are almost 50 people, so the job is a little more challenging now. If any of you guys at Beacon House need anything like an internship, you need to come through me first. Hi I am Imran Uddin and a founder partner of Ghost and Amigo. I cannot believe that the founder partners met almost 12 years ago and have worked together since then. I am the managing director of Ghost Software and over the 8 or 9 years from its conception I have watched it grow slowly but surely into an international software company which currently has a million dollar turnover. I am also very proud to have worked with some of the best developers in Pakistan who got their initial training from us. This is not a recruitment campaign!!
