The last seven Linn Kandid cartridges.

All of the Linn cartridges are badge engineered and manufactured by a third party. As a joint audio venture Lyra in Japan made the Kandid for Linn. The cartridge’s weight and mount was specified by Linn to complement their flagship tonearms and suite the LP12 turntable sound, it was a marriage made to be.

For us the end of Kandid production was sort of a sad day, because it’s a product loved by so many customers that used one. This wonderful moving coil cartridge provides a unique sound that grips you and makes you listen in a very easy manner. So here are the very last seven and for those Linn train spotters amongst us SN.2609 seems to be the last of these.

Long live the Kandid!.. One day (who knows) maybe Linn will team up with Lyra again.
