Think before you click.

If an offer sounds too good to be true - it probably is. Just because it uses a company logo, colours and fonts does not mean it is from that company. Check the links, check the origin and if you're unsure - contact the company via another known means to verify the promotion.

Who WOULDN'T like 2x £250 Morrison Vouchers? If you click on the link in an email like this, you won't get any vouchers or go into a prize draw. What you WILL get is defrauded, your identity stolen or a nasty malware infection on your device. Think before you click!

Just to reassure some people.

1. The power infrastructure 'block code' list is not an ongoing powercut scheme to save money, it's an emergency plan for critical shortage of power. It's been in place for over 50 years.

2. Africa is not made to look small on maps to brainwash you into thinking the continent is not important. It is a result of projecting a globe in a flat 2D format. If you search for map projections you can see there are many different ways to try and show the world in a flat view.

3. Cutting and pasting some text into the Facebook status message is not going to reset any algorithms or make previously 'hidden' posts appear. Facebook is a platform that generates money from it's users content, the algorithms for showing adverts and user content are designed to maximise this for facebook. (though you can try clicking the three dots on any adver you see on Facebook, click 'hide add' and select a reason why - it won't reduce the number of adverts you get, but at least Facebook will try to provide more relevant ones)
