🎈 G-MEAS at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta 🎈

We were delighted to see our hot air balloon, G-MEAS, take part in this year's Bristol Balloon Fiesta, one of the world's largest annual hot air balloon events.

Joining hundreds of balloons and thousands of visitors, G-MEAS helped create some truly memorable scenes in the skies above Bristol. The fiesta is a fantastic celebration of flight, engineering and adventure, and we were proud to be part of it.

📢 Vision for traffic-free greenway showcased as Charfield station nears completion.

As plans for the new Wotton-under-Edge to Charfield Greenway continue to progress, Renishaw was pleased to join other partners and community leaders to hear how the proposed traffic-free route could improve connections between local communities and the new Charfield station. The greenway would link key destinations, including Renishaw's New Mills headquarters, making it easier and safer for people to walk, wheel and cycle.

Dave Wallace, Renishaw Group Operations Director, said: "Renishaw is a long-time supporter of the greenway which will connect our New Mills and Charfield sites with the new station and local communities. This will help to reduce the carbon emissions from our employees commuting to work and provide a safe off-road route for all users."

🖥️ Giving office equipment a second life!

Following recent desk moves at our New Mills HQ, we donated unwanted office equipment to reduce waste and support communities locally and globally.

🤝 Working with Gloucestershire Resource Centre (GRC), which repurposes materials for community use, and long-standing partner The ITSA Digital Trust, which provides refurbished technology to schools in Africa and the UK, our recent computer donations are helping to improve access to digital education. These devices are part of 700 refurbished computers heading to Zimbabwe, with each computer supporting up to 100 students.

By rehoming equipment, we are extending its lifespan, reducing environmental impact, and supporting positivise impact in our communities.

We’re thrilled to share that we have been awarded Gold status in the Engineering Apprenticeships: Employer Accreditation from Next Gen Makers, recognising the company's commitment to delivering outstanding engineering apprenticeship programmes and developing the next generation of engineering talent.

This is a fantastic milestone, made possible by the passion and hard work of our apprentices, and the incredible dedication of the mentors, managers and colleagues who support them every step of the way.

From welcoming our very first apprentice in 1979 to continuing to invest in skills for the future, we’re proud to play a role in shaping the next generation of engineers and technical specialists.

A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement – and congratulations to our apprentices for making it happen! 👏
