Easter calls for chocolate. We call for a CT scan. 🐰 | Lindt Bunny Porosity Analysis

Our VGStudio MAX trainer, William Rogers, CT scanned a Lindt Salted Caramel Chocolate Bunny and ran a full porosity analysis to reveal every tiny air pocket and even the individual pieces of caramel hidden inside the chocolate.

It's a bit of Easter fun, but it's exactly what we do every day for manufacturers - finding internal defects in aerospace components, automotive parts, medical devices and more, without breaking a thing.

If it has an inside, we can scan it.

✨ What a brilliant weekend at the Brynkinalt Estate Running Festival!

Happy Mother’s Day! 💐

To mark the occasion, we’ve combined nature and technology in a unique way. Using CT scanning, we captured the hidden internal structure of daffodils in remarkable detail. We then used Dragonfly software to transform that scan data into this striking visual, revealing the delicate textures, layers and forms that are usually hidden from view.

A lovely blend of nature, technology and creativity.

30K Trail Run in Freezing Cold 🥶 | Emlid RX2 Field Test (North Wales)

James and Rob took the Emlid RX2 out for a proper real-world test: a 30K trail run in freezing conditions. No studio setup, no “perfect weather” demo… just kit in the wild - and it kept going the whole way: cold hands, wet trails, constant movement.

OR3D is the UK distributor for RX Solutions industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT) systems, supporting customers from first conversation through installation, training and long-term service - backed by our dedicated CT Centre and an experienced applications/technical team.

This is a high-impact role at the start of building a dedicated sales function. You’ll own the full sales cycle for high-value CT systems (typically £250k+) and help shape our sales strategy as we scale with clear progression into leadership for the right person.

We couldn't resist CT scanning our favourite sweets - Candy Kittens Wild Strawberry. They look divine on the outside - and thanks to CT (Computed Tomography), we can see the inside without cutting them open, visualised in Volume Graphics by Hexagon.
