A proud moment for OR3D 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

OR3D CT is on track to become the first company in Wales – and the UK's only independent industrial CT services provider – to gain the EN4179 aerospace accreditation.

What does that mean? In short, we'll be qualified to inspect parts for the UK aerospace supply chain – including flight-critical components used in modern aircraft manufacturing.

It's been made possible by an Accreditation grant from the Flintshire and Wrexham Investment Zone, awarded by Wrexham county borough council. And this week the story was picked up by Aerospace Manufacturing magazine.

A huge thank you to Cllr Nigel Williams (who visited us in Chirk on 30th July), Amanda Holmes and the whole Investment Zone team at Wrexham County Borough Council, Ambition North Wales, and everyone who's helped get us this far.

Another great event with Adrenaline Events at the Chirk 10k! 🏃

OR3D are a proud sponsor of Sporting Events for 2026, and were delighted to support this year's race, superbly organised by Alan Lewis and his brilliant team.

Flying the OR3D flag this time: James Ear, Leanne Jones and Thomas Feilden - a scorcher of a day with plenty of hills to climb, so real kudos to everyone who took part!

Big shout out to Alexis Earl, who volunteered on the day handing out medals to every finisher. 🙌

A special mention to - Caffi Wylfa too - we registered there before the race and headed straight back afterwards for some very well-earned coffee and breakfast. The team handled the rush brilliantly! ☕

🎓 Welcome to the School of 3D 🎸

OR3D recently visited Ysgol Clywedog, presenting to a group of Year 9 students who’ll be taking Product Design for GCSE. We hope it gave them a spark of inspiration for their future studies!

We also brought along Obert, our custom-built robot, for a demo that was a huge hit with the students 🤖

A big thank you to Lesley Lloyd from Careers Wales for organising the visit — we really enjoyed it and are already looking forward to more school visits in September.

GEO business 2026 was a blast! 🎉

What an incredible two days at ExCeL London. We had the best time meeting so many brilliant people - from Emlid GNSS demos and Share S20 mobile mapping to drone inspection enquiries and everything in between.

A huge thank you to the whole GEO Business team for putting on such a well-organised event. It just gets better every year.

We're delighted to welcome Hashim Ahmed to OR3D as our new Sales Manager for CT.

Hashim joins us with seven years of experience supporting customers across multiple industries with inspection and metrology systems, including CT and X-Ray.

His focus will be CT scanner sales across the UK and Ireland for RX Solutions, the manufacturer behind the EasyTom, UltraTom, Metrology and FAB Series of industrial CT systems. He'll also work hand-in-hand with our analysis and inspection partners - Volume Graphics by Hexagon, Dragonfly, Deben and CactuX - to make sure every customer gets the right solution end-to-end, not just the right machine.

Hashim arrives at a genuinely exciting moment for OR3D, and we couldn't be happier to have him on the team.
