Healthcare is undergoing a profound digital transformation. Across Ghana and around the world, hospitals are increasingly adopting electronic medical records, telemedicine platforms, digital imaging systems, cloud-based services, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve patient care and operational efficiency. Taking digital learning beyond the traditional classroom 💻

During this stop of the Coding Caravan at the Demonstration School for the Deaf, students were introduced to practical technology concepts through interactive demonstrations and hands-on learning.

With guidance from the facilitators, the students explored different digital tools, observed technology in action, asked questions and took part in activities designed to make learning engaging and accessible.

The session was also an opportunity for the facilitators and students to connect, exchange ideas and explore how technology can support creativity, problem-solving and future opportunities.

At IIPGH, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover, learn and participate in the digital world.

☁️ The cloud is more than just online storage.

From streaming your favourite shows to collaborating on documents in real time, cloud computing powers many of the digital services we rely on every day.

It allows individuals and organisations to store data, access applications and work from almost anywhere without depending entirely on physical devices or on-site servers. It can also help businesses improve flexibility, support remote collaboration and scale their operations as their needs grow.

The Ghana Passport Application as a Case Study of Digital Service Delivery, Corruption Reduction, and Economic Transformation

Evolution of Ghana Passport Application Processes Manual and Paper-Based System Originally, Ghanaian passport applications were processed through entirely manual, paper-based systems. Applicants had to visit passport offices physically, obtain paper forms, and submit documents in person, often without clear timelines or transparent procedures. This opacity created fertile ground for intermediaries commonly called “Goro boys” who exploited applicants by promising faster processing, charging unofficial fees, and controlling access to officers....
