This pressing challenge comes amidst resource scarcity, climate change, and socio-economic difficulties. AI-driven innovations hold the potential to revolutionize farming practices, enhance productivity, and ensure sustainability, thereby helping to meet these demands.

Egypt and Italy have announced a partnership set to create an artificial intelligence (AI) Center in Cairo.

According to the Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technolology Dr. Amr Talaat, the AI Center aims to lead AI development and employment throughout Africa, as well as provide training and support to African countries in the field. The collaboration also seeks to enhance cooperation between research institutions and companies in both countries leading to high creative explorations.

Three students won $700,000 for using AI to decode part of a Roman scroll buried by the Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD, which also destroyed Pompeii.
The winning team, made up of Youssef Nader in Germany, Luke Farritor in the U.S., and Julian Schilliger in Switzerland, successfully deciphered over 2,000 previously unread Greek letters from the burned scroll.

In a world of ever-growing opportunities, young people within marginalized communities appear to be isolated based on gender, religious, and socio-economic factors. These instances lead to a significant gap in the availability of educational, career, and life opportunities for these groups.

The Career Success Bootcamp (Nsawam Edition), an intensive 1-day training program, is designed to train and mentor young individuals in Nsawam Zongo, a vibrant yet marginalized community in the Eastern Region of Ghana on various entrepreneurship skills, digital skills and lifelong learning opportunities.

Organised by EPDL Training in partnership with the Office of the Municipal Chief Imam, Nsawam Adoagyiri, this bootcamp is geared towards young experts, specifically SHS graduates, and tertiary students & graduates.
