Cut the cardboard themselves. Glued it together themselves. Drew the clothes, cut them out, painted them, by hand.
Then wired a water sensor and a motor into a little house they built from scratch, so that the moment rain touches the sensor, the dryline automatically slides under the roof before the clothes get wet.
No adult built this for them. Basic 5 students at Amazing Grace Academy designed it, built it, and made it work, from cardboard house to working sensor to a problem solved.
This is what we mean when we say our students aren't just learning about technology, they're using it to solve problems they see every day. A mother rushing to bring in washing before the rain. A rooftop that reacts before she even notices the sky changing.
