MDBMS

Short for Multidimensional Database Management System, an MDBMS is a type of database management system that is capable of portraying data in more than three dimensions. Data is pulled from relational databases and correlated quickly to provide answers to queries. An MDBMS may represent data as a hypercube to better illustrate its concepts.

Applications

An MDBMS is often used for data warehouse applications, as well as applications that handle analytical processing.
Advantages of MDBMS

Easy to maintain.
Enhanced representation of data.
Faster and more efficient delivery of data, compared to other database management systems.
